Local Vet, Dr. Dianna Funk, of Tri-County Animal Hospital, has had many bumps in her life journey in the last month. She is a loving friend, amazing mother, awesome daughter and conquering vet. Her love for life, people, family, friends and animals are beyond words.
She had an emergency appendectomy on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016. The next day, she was released but had to go back into the hospital. There were complications from her surgery and she had developed peritonitis and had to undergo a second surgery. While trying to heal from this, she then got pneumonia. She is currently intubed in the ICU. She has been unable to work and this has also affected her husband's ability to work his normal schedule. Their income is going to be affected and also the medical bills she is incurring will surely cause hardship. On top of all of this, she is worried about losing her clinic because of her not being able to work.
As Dianna has been an amazing inspiration to her children, she has opened up her clinic to teach Cub Scouts all about her job. Not only has she done this, but she has also helped out at her districts Twilight Camp. She has two amazing kiddos that are Cub Scouts as well.
Our Cubbies are helping create a benefit dinner as a service project to help Dr. Funk, her clinic and her family out.
