De-mystifying Meditation with Dorsey Ney at RPL

Dorsey Ney, of Healthy Heart-Healthy Pleasures, will offer a one-hour class on “De-Mystifying Meditation: Simple Ways to Manage Stress”, on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 2 to 3 p.m., in the Main Auditorium. This class will allow participants time to relax and experience several tries at the meditation process. If possible, please bring a stiff pillow and a blanket for use on the floor. If sitting on the floor is difficult, participants may remain seated in a regular chair and still derive good benefits from the class.

Ney was born and resides in Alliance, Ohio. She obtained her BS in Production Horticulture from Texas Tech University after graduating from Marlington High School. She has owned and operated her wellness establishment since 1996, led by a deep commitment to human health. Early training from her mom supported and encouraged Ney’s life-long interest in balanced health. In 1999, Dorsey received an Herbal Apprenticeship from Healing Heart Herbals in southern Ohio. She became a Yoga Instructor in 2002, offering many classes per week for the public. Her interest in wholistic well-being led her to learn both Reiki and Shamanism, two forms of alternative healing involving body, mind and spirit.

It gives her great pleasure to serve the public by educating on the topic of natural health. Led by her own healing, Dorsey has been continually curious for what may help to heal our bodies and our souls. This class is free and open to the public. No registration is needed.
