Event Description:
On Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., meet Ohio authors and local artisans and browse through their books and handmade crafts. Ohio authors will be signing and selling their books throughout the library. Book categories include children’s books, local history, mystery, teen fiction and romance. Authors in attendance will be Gloria Adams, Chris Baum, C. Dale Brittain, Carolyn Caskey, Nancy Christie, Hugh Earnhart, Antonia Harris, Don King, Lana Koehler, Irv Korman, Andrea Legg, Julie Ann Lindsey, Connie Parmenter, Roger Pickenpaugh, Cliff Protzman, Helen Swanson, Claudia Taller, Jane Ann Turzillo and Robin Yocum. The Alliance Historical Society will also have a table with DVDs and books, including the publication of its latest book, History of Lexington Township, by Levi L. Lamborn. Local artisans will be selling their crafts during this same time. Craft items offered include primitive wood art, woven rugs, handmade candles, wooden bowls and trays, handmade jewelry, purses, hot/cold pads, fiber/felted items, string art, pillow cases, headbands and tutus, wreaths, shirts, teddy bears, pampered pets furniture, homemade soap, herb and succulent plants, rustic signs, hand painted items, crochet items, rag quilts, baked goods, and photography. Items donated by the Artisans will be raffled by the Friends of Rodman Library to aid in their support of the Library. Please note that the Friends of Rodman Library cannot accept credit cards, but will accept checks and cash. Some authors and artisans will accept all three methods of payment.
