Name: "Make & Take Green Cleaning" at Rodman Library Bookmobile
Date: June 30, 2018
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM EDT
Event Description:
Join us at the Rodman Bookmobile, which will be located at the Alliance Farmers’ Market, on Saturday, June 30, from 10 to 11 a.m., and participate in a “Make & Take Green Cleaning” session. Rebecca O'Neill from the Stark Soil and Water Conservation District (Stark SWCD) will demonstrate how to make safe, simple, and cost efficient alternatives to conventional cleaners. Why Go Green? It helps eliminate toxic ingredients from your home, reduces indoor pollution, and decreases resistant bacteria. During this demonstration, eco-friendly household cleaners will be produced using natural ingredients, vinegar, and essential oils. Participants will create and take home product samples, as well as recipes for additional household cleansers composed of the same basic ingredients. No registration is needed for this FREE demonstration. Bring with you one 10 oz. spray bottle (for the cleaner) and one small squeeze bottle (for the hand sanitizer). The Stark Soil and Water mission is to conserve our natural resources by educating, guiding and assisting the citizens of Stark County. This demonstration is sponsored by Rodman Public Library and Stark SWCD. For questions, please contact Stark Soil and Water at 330-451-7645 or Rodman Public Library Bookmobile Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 108. The Farmers’ Market is located in the parking lot at the corner of E. Main St. and Mechanic Ave., in Alliance – just look for the red caboose.
