Time: 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM EDT
Event Description:

Michelle Dillon, president of the Alliance Historical Society, will present the program, “Matthew, Mary and Mabel: Mabel Hartzell, the Hartzells, and the Historical Home Part II”, on Wednesday, March 29, at 7 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium. As part of the Alliance Historical Society’s celebration of the 150th anniversary of the lovely Victorian home at 840 North Park Avenue, Dillon will discuss her research on Mabel Hartzell and her Hartzell family. Mabel was born in Michigan in 1875, moved with her family to Alliance when she was seven, then adopted by the Earleys two years later after her mother died. She lived in the Victorian home at Park and Vine her entire life, bequesting it and all the belongings to the Historical Society when she passed away in 1954. The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 and became an Alliance Local Landmark in 2012. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is needed.
