Name: Rock Salt and Nails Acoustic Band Concert at RPL
Date: April 6, 2019
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Join us for a fun afternoon of music at Rodman Public Library as the Rock Salt and Nails Acoustic Band (RSN) entertains with a mix of the blues, bluegrass, and ballads. Jim Dutter of Louisville, Keith McMahon of Homeworth and Priscilla Roggenkamp of Alliance will perform original and cover tunes from their new CD, “Time Stands Still,” as well as other band favorites. The performance runs from 2 to 4 p.m., on Saturday, April 6, in Rodman Main Auditorium, and is suitable for all ages. Rock Salt and Nails formed in 2008 when Keith and Priscilla met Jim at the University of Mount Union Nature Center acoustic jam. This accidental meeting grew into weekly sessions of music making and fun. Pulling inspiration from various directions, an eclectic group of influences can be heard in RSN original tunes. The band gravitates to storytelling that is rooted in experience and has a Midwestern sensibility where harvest and heartbreak combine with things learned and loved. Sharing the lead, each group member headlines songs, adds a harmony, provides backup or takes the instrumental break. This event is free and open to the public, supported by the Friends of Rodman Library. No registration is needed. CDs and digital downloads will be available for purchase at the time of the program, through Facebook or the band’s website. For more information about the band, visit their website at www.rsn-band.com, or call the Main Library at 330-821-2665, ext. 216, for program details.
