Robin Yocum, a visiting speaker for the 2017 Fogle Author Series and author of Favorite Sons and The Essay, will be giving a Writing Workshop in Rodman Main Auditorium on Friday, Aug. 25, from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. He will be discussing the writing process such as where to look for ideas or turning life topics into material, organizing and refining the ideas, and finishing the project. Yocum will also offer tips on how to fight through writer’s block. Come prepared to have fun and learn from a professional. Then join him at the Main Library on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 2:00 p.m., to hear him speak about his latest novel, A Welcome Murder, released in April 2017.
