Rodman Library Branch to Host Author Robin Yocum

The 2017 Fogle Author Series continues with author Robin Yocum who will speak at Rodman Public Library on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 2:00 p.m., in the Main Auditorium. Yocum is well known for his work as a crime and investigative reporter with the Columbus Dispatch from 1980-1991. He is the recipient of 30 local, state and national journalism awards in categories ranging from investigative reporting to feature writing. Presently he is the president of Yocum Communications, a public relations and marketing firm in Galena, Ohio.
 
He is the author of the critically acclaimed novels, Favorite Sons and The Essay. The Essay was the One Book One Community selection in 2014.Favorite Sons was named the 2011 USA Book News’ Book of the Year for Mystery/Suspense. Yocum’s latest and fourth novel, A Welcome Murder, was released in April 2017. It received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Kirkus and Booklist. His third novel, A Brilliant Death, was short-listed for a 2017 Edgar Award, plus he has authored other books relating to his time as a crime reporter. Yocum has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University.
 
Future visiting authors of the Fogle Author Series to Rodman Library are Wanda E. Brunstetter, Saturday, Sept. 9, at 2:00 p.m., and Elizabeth Berg, Saturday, Nov. 18, at 2:00 p.m. Books will be available for purchase at the time of the program which the author will then sign.
