Rodman Library Hosts Local Author Peter Schmotzer
Local author Peter Schmotzer, author of Unplanned Connections, will be speaking on Monday, Jan 16, at 7 p.m., in the Rodman Main Auditorium. He’ll be discussing his writing process along with the story behind and within his novel. His book took five years to finally reach publication because the publisher he initially signed with went under the week the book came out, but meanwhile the sequel was completed, and it’s scheduled for release summer 2017.
Peter holds a Commercial Pilot license but spends most of his time on the ground where he can maintain an online business, write, play guitar and, for better or worse, do his own yard work. He wrote Unplanned Connections while completing his Master's Degree at Kent State. The whole time his wife thought he was studying.
Peter generally writes in the evenings when the house is quiet. In addition to his current and upcoming novels, he’s written newspaper articles and numerous short stories. He is a member of the Writers Alliance, which meets at Rodman Library the second Monday of the month. Copies of his book will be available to purchase for $10.00.
