Name: Solar Eclipse Family fun Day at Rodman Library
Date: July 8, 2017
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT
Event Description:

Join us in Rodman Auditorium on Saturday, July 8, beginning at 2 p.m., for a fun-filled family day in anticipation of the solar eclipse that will be taking place in August. First, Nancy Baker Cazan, Education Director of the Beech Creek Gardens, will give a presentation about the solar eclipse. Following her presentation, iPads with the Sky View app will be available for attendees to use in the Main Gallery. Those who want to make a pinhole camera to view the eclipse and learn how to hold it may do so at one of the three stations located in the Children’s Program Room. Another station will allow participants to use their creativity while making space art. Refreshments will be available at the third station. While enjoying the activities in the Program Room, families may also watch a video that will be playing on the screen with information about the solar eclipse. Handouts will be available to take home.
