A Minecraft Build-Off for teens is offered for three days, Monday, Jan. 8, Tuesday, Jan. 9, and Thursday, Jan. 11, from 3 to 5 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium and replaces the regular Monday Minecraft scheduled for Jan. 8. This event is played with a combination of Xbox 360/One gaming consoles and iPads with realm. Day One: Head-to-head, Tournament Style Build-off with Creative Mode Enabled. Teens are given 20 to 25 minutes to build a structure?the best one in each matchup moves on. Day Two: Team Build-off with Creative Mode Enabled. Working as a team, participants are given a large scale design to complete?the team with the best finished product wins. The created structures are to be used as bases for the third day. Day Three: Team Capture the Flag. Teams go head-to-head in survival mode while trying to capture the other team’s flag. Inventories will be wiped the day of the event. Participation at all three days’ events is not required. The program is free and no registration is needed. This event is supported by the Friends of Rodman Library.
