Event Description:
Lynnette Reiner, Science Director at the Wm. McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, will give a program on dinosaurs on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 to 11 a.m., in Rodman Library Children’s Program Room for children of all ages. Using a PowerPoint presentation, she will examine some of the dinosaurs that once lived in America. Children will learn about archaeological sites of interest and all of the new technologies and theories of these great beasts. Reiner graduated from the University of Akron with a double major in Comprehensive Social Studies and Interdisciplinary Anthropology. She received her master’s degree in Zoology from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. Prior to becoming Science Director, she was Discover World Manager at the McKinley Museum. She is an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist and a watershed planner, Certified by Ohio State University and a certified Projects Wild, Aquatic, and Growing up Wild Facilitator. Reiner is a member of The Nimishillen Creek Watershed Partners and Stark Sustainability Consortium, and the cofounder and board president of Oceans Ohio, Inc.
